Ryan Paevey began his career in modeling after being scouted in high school, which led to commercial work and eventually acting. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Detective Nathan West on the long-running ABC soap opera General Hospital, appearing on the show from 2013 to 2018, with a planned return in 2025.

Paevey has also starred in numerous made-for-TV films, especially for the Hallmark Channel, including Unleashing Mr. Darcy, Harvest Love, Hope at Christmas, and others.

Born and raised in California, Paevey worked with his father in construction and spent time bartending before turning to modeling and acting. He was involved in athletics like track and cross country during school.

Besides acting, Paevey is an entrepreneur. He founded the brand Fortunate Wanderer, selling handmade jewelry, photography prints, and outdoor-themed products inspired by his travels. He enjoys outdoor activities, video games, cooking, and languages, including some French and Japanese.
