FAQs

R3 Travel Concierge Program FAQ’s

What Conditions are Treated?

Conditions being treated include musculoskeletal (bone/joint) conditions such as Arthritis and Tendonitis, Neuropathy, Pelvic Pain, COPD, Autism, Kidney Failure, Diabetes, Neurologic Conditions (e.g. Alzheimers, Stroke, ALS, MS), Autoimmune Conditions, Lyme Disease and Heart Failure.

How much do the treatments cost?

For out of town individuals traveling in for treatment, R3 bundles the cost of the therapy plus travel to make the fee all inclusive*. This fee will range somewhat based on the specific clinical recommendation that results from your physician phone consultation. The all inclusive fee will range from $6500 to $14,000 depending on your condition and the necessary procedure(s).

Will insurance help pay for treatment?

For some of the procedures, insurance may in fact provide some coverage. The way R3’s Centers of Excellence work with patients is fee for service at the outset. Then if insurance reimburses some or all of the procedure, those monies will go back to the patient.

Are there financing options available?

Yes, R3 has arrangements with several financing programs that can help pay for your treatment. We will happily provide those options.

What is included in the travel program fee?

The travel program fee is bundled with the procedure fee, and is presented as an all inclusive fee to eliminate confusion. This fee includes all ground transportation to and from the airport and treatment. It also includes all hotels and some meals during your stay. The fee does not include airfare, extra hotel nights, entertainment or ground transportation above and beyond the treatment visits.

When are the treatments offered?

Currently R3 offers pelvic pain treatment in Phoenix beginning on the third Thursday of every month. That means patients will fly in on Thursday to then begin the treatment on Friday, and be able to fly home on Sunday.

For the systemic conditions such as COPD, Kidney Failure, Diabetes and neurologic conditions, treatments are offered in Las Vegas starting on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. This means patients will fly in on Wednesday to then begin treatment on Thursday, with completion on Friday. Patients are obviously free to then stay and enjoy the weekend, or fly home on Saturday.

Are the treatments FDA Approved?

The regenerative procedures offered at R3 Stem Cell Centers of Excellence are not FDA Approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA. The regenerative biologics used for the procedures are FDA regulated as biologics and are not classified as drugs, therefore, they can neither be Approved nor Denied.

Are the treatments safe?

The regenerative procedures offered have shown to be very low risk with minimal adverse events reported. Having said that, our informed consent does list risks of infection, bleeding, allergic reaction to anesthesia among other risks. The R3 informed consent has been evaluated and approved by an IRB (institutional Review Board).

Are the treatments effective?

Based on the outcomes being reported at our Centers, the answer is yes. For pelvic pain, patients have reported considerable reductions in pain and less need for pain medication.

For conditions such as COPD and Kidney Failure, patients are reporting improvements in the ability to walk, less dependence on oxygen and often avoiding the need for dialysis.**

Are there any ethical issues with the stem cells used?

The stem cell materials used for the procedures have no ethical issues. The amniotic fluid, placenta and umbilical cord tissue are acquired after scheduled c-section procedures from consenting, screened donors. The babies are fine and the biologic material is normally discarded after birth. No embryonic stem cells are used during ANY of the procedures.
