Research to date for regenerative medicine has been very promising. Small studies in humans have shown excellent benefits of PRP therapy, bone marrow and amniotic derived stem cell injections for several musculoskeletal conditions.
This includes potentially helping tendonitis, ligament injuries and degenerative arthritis with repair and regeneration to heal more completely and faster than what occurs naturally.
R3 is working with Center for Joint Regeneration to increase the scientific body of knowledge when it comes to the benefits of stem cell therapies for all types of musculoskeletal conditions. Several research projects are in the works. Patient treatment is not randomized, which means each patient will in fact receive the stem cell treatment. There is no placebo, which places patients’ minds at ease when undergoing treatment.
The research projects are subsidized by industry, which is able to significantly defray the patient treatment cost. It does not completely cover the treatment’s cost, however, stem cell treatments at Center for Joint Regeneration routinely cost approximately 30% less than other centers.
It is truly a very exciting time for regenerative medicine, with its potential to repair injury from soft tissue injury and degenerative arthritis. Patients ranging from grandparents, amateur and professional athletes, executives, weekend warriors, students and manual laborers are able to now reap the benefits of these cutting-edge treatment options with the program R3 has set up at Center for Joint Regeneration.
