Regenerative Medicine Treatment for South Africa with R3 Stem Cell International Starting At Only $1500
R3 Stem Cell is now offering regenerative procedures in South Africa, with locations including Johannesburg along with Derban (Umhlagen). Procedures offered include umbilical cord stem cell therapy along with exosomes and PRP therapy.
For over ten years, R3 Stem Cell has been offering donor allograft stem cell procedures. Many peer reviewed studies have shown the beneficial effects of the “birth tissue” for various conditions, including orthopedic, neurologic, autoimmune, diabetes, organ failure (heart/kidney/lungs/liver) and a host of other ailments.
R3 has opened a stem cell clinic in Johannesburg and one in Durban as well (Umhlagen). The regenerative specialists at the R3 Stem Cell South Africa locations offer the umbilical cord stem cell procedures with customized protocols, and there are over 20 available.
Are there any ethical issues with the stem cell biologics being used in South Africa?
The “birth tissue” biologics have no ethical issues, as the umbilical cord tissue is obtained after a scheduled c-section from consenting mothers. There is no harm to baby or mother, and the tissue is otherwise simply discarded.
What types of stem cells are used?
The stem cells used are either hematopoietic or mesenchymal, which do not have the safety issues of embryonic stem cells. While embryonic stem cells are exciting since they can turn into any cell line needed, they are not safe. They get quickly rejected, and also cause tumors in the body. For these safety reasons, R3 Stem Cell has never used embryonic stem cells. There are also issues with the source of ESC’s, which includes aborted fetuses or left over IVF embryos.
Umbilical cord tissue and blood does not contain embryonic stem cells, rather, the tissue is rich in both hematopoietic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells. In fact, no peer reviewed study has shown issues with either rejection or tumor development when hematopoietic or mesenchymal stem cells are used from birth tissue. The stem cells are considered immunologically privileged, with no HLA-2 markers being present to spark up an immune rejection reaction.
As the worldwide leader in regenerative medicine for the past 10 years, over 21,000 stem cell procedures have been performed with donor allograft such as amniotic fluid and/or umbilical cord stem cells. Some of the more common conditions treated with the stem cell therapy includes:
- Joint Arthritis – knee, hip, shoulder, foot, ankle, wrist, elbow, spine.
- Autoimmune – Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Psoriasis
- Neurologic – Stroke, Alzheimers’, Parkinsons, Neuropathy, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy
- Organ Failure – Kidney Failure, Heart Disease, Liver Failure, COPD, Post-Covid
- Urologic – Erectile Dysfunction & Stress Urinary Incontinence
- Fertility – Premature Ovarian Failure
- Autism and Cerebral Palsy
How is stem cell therapy performed in Africa?
R3 Stem Cell has developed quite a few treatment applications, which are customized to each patient’s specific needs. If a patient has a specific focal issue such as joint arthritis, then the provider will inject the biologics directly into that joint(s). For neuropathy, direct injections are also provided into each leg along with an IV treatment too.
For patients who have a systemic issue such as an autoimmune disorder, or suffering from an organ failure problem like kidney, heart, liver or lung, an IV therapy will be provided. This allows the stem cells and exosomes to travel throughout the circulation and deposit into areas that need help.
A Harvard study looked at how the stem cells figure out where to go when given intravenously. The way they decide is they seek out areas that are experiencing inflammation. So if that’s from kidney failure, or diabetes, or COPD, then a significant percentage will go there!
For issues affecting the lungs, a nebulizer treatment will be provided in addition to intravenous. This will provide the largest percentage of stem cells through two different applications, which leads to the best outcomes imaginable for COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, post-Covid and other lung issues.
When it comes to neurologic conditions affecting the spinal cord and brain, R3 utilizes an intrathecal application. Intrathecal simply means that the stem cells are applied into the spinal cord, or “dural sac” as it’s called. Because of the blood-brain-barrier (BBB), it is difficult to achieve central nervous system penetration when stem cells are simply given intravenously.
But the intrathecal approach skips the BBB, so the amount of stem cells that reach the central nervous system is dramatically higher than if simply given IV. The procedure is safe and performed by experienced anesthesiologists. For those with autism, stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, ALS, dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders, intrathecal is a fantastic option.
Often, R3’s providers utilize a “hybrid” protocol for treatment. This means that multiple application types are utilized. For instance, for a child with autism a combination of IV and intrathecal applications are used.
All patients receive a multivitamin infusion along with the stem cells. These IV drips help to prime the patient’s system and activates the stem cells for optimal effect.
How long do the stem cell treatments in Johannesburg and Durban Africa take?
Most treatments take 1-2 hours, depending on the difficulty along with the amount of cells being administered. If a large amount of stem cells are being administered, the treatments will be split up into multiple days. R3 does this for safety, which has been paramount since inception 11 years ago.
While some patients receive a complete treatment in just one session, others may take 3-5 days to receive all of the biologics safely and for optimal outcomes. These decisions are made on a customized basis, according to the Best Practice Protocols that R3 has developed over the past decade.
What are the outcomes?
Thankfully, the outcomes with stem cell therapy in Africa with R3 have been stellar. Over 85% of all patients are satisfied with their procedures, and state they would recommend it to friends and family.
While not a cure, the stem cell procedures at R3 are able to mitigate symptoms from over 50 conditions. A lot of patients who come to R3 have failed all types of traditional treatments.
What are the risks?
Stem cell procedures with the allograft umbilical cord tissue at R3’s Centers are very safe! After 21,000 procedures in the past 10 years, the number of side effects we have seen attributable to the biologics have been very low.
Typical side effects may include temporary low grade fever, nausea, dizziness, lightheaded, flush, injection site discomfort, headache, transient increased pain for a couple days. At times, patients report additional side effects that may or may not be attributable to the actual procedure. Thankfully, the side effects are virtually always temporary and patients then go on to achieve exceptional results over 85% of the time.
What is the cost of stem cell therapy in South Africa?
R3 Stem Cell is the world’s most cost effective regenerative medicine company. The procedure pricing depends on how many stem cells are needed, starting at 30 million stem cells with some patients needing upwards of 300 million!
At R3 Stem Cell South Africa, pricing begins at just $1200-1500 USD. One hundred million stem cells is priced at just $7250 USD, which is two to three times less than competitors worldwide!
Since each patient’s procedure is customized, the pricing will range based on the unique needs. Every patient receives a free multivitamin infusion, which is also customized to individual needs.
